Whether you’re looking for a romantic date night out with your significant other this Valentine’s Day, or if you are avoiding the holiday entirely and plan on staying cozy on the couch, we’ve got you covered!

Trust me, after 28 years of marriage Tom and I struggle to come up with new ideas for what to do on Valentine's Day.  So I did a little digging and if you're celebrating with your significant other, best friend or family, here are some romantic and fun things to do in the Stillwater area.

Take a Carriage Ride

Take a romantic carriage ride through downtown Stillwater. Main Street shops, restaurants, and attractions welcome you to this romantic city to celebrate with your Valentine all day long with specials. Meet by the pedestrian plaza on Water Street for FREE carriage rides along the river on  February 14th from 4-7pm.  Discover Stillwater!

Do A Little DIY Workshop

Sawdust Savvy, Minnesota’s Original DIY Studio is right here in Stillwater and invites you to their Sweetheart Workshop for Two. Your registration includes a project-for-two at Sawdust Savvy, followed by dinner-for-two at The Lion’s Tavern. Check out the details at Sawdust Savvy.

Create Silver at Alchemy Art Studio. Learn about using silver metal clay to make as a gift for someone dear to your heart; or come with a partner or friend and make them for each other; or ask your sweetheart to buy you this class as a gift — there are lots of options, even if you’re a complete beginner! Details and more classes at Alchemy Art Studio.

Enjoy An Evening of Jazz

“Love Is…” with Beacon Hill Jazz Ensemble at The Zephyr Theater.  End your evening with an after-dinner sweet treat for singles and sweeties! The Beacon Hill Jazz Ensemble features Suzi Mueller, vocals; Mike Cramer, guitar; Paul Harper, sax; Nathan Norman, drums; Greg Stinson, bass. Check out all the events at The Zephyr Theater or more downtown Stillwater activities at Discover Stillwater.

Snowshoe One of Our Parks

Snowshoeing is a great way to break the ice on a first date or enjoy a special evening with your special someone. We have beautiful local and state parks in the area from William O'Brien down to Afton.  Don't forget the National Scenic River way!

Grab some hot chocolate afterward to warm up, or head over to a nearby bar or restaurant to continue Valentine’s Day festivities.

But we've made finding a home you love even easier.
